DANCE

The Dance Studio at Lifesong is committed to high quality, professional instruction in a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere. We consider it a privilege to be a part of the lives and journey of our dancers. Whether you’re dancing for fun or competition, our staff is here to encourage you, inspire you and give you the tools to reach your goals, while instilling a love and appreciation for the art of dance! See dance class and level descriptions HERE.

Initial placement in dance classes is determined at registration and is based on the student’s age, experience and ability. Staff will evaluate students during the first few weeks of class to ensure proper placement. In the regular season (mid-August through May), enrollment is open for pre-ballet and combo classes through September in the fall semester and again in January for the spring semester. Enrollment is open for all other dance classes through January, pending evaluation and class availability.

2020-2021 Season 15 (August 17, 2020 thru May 28, 2021)

We are GRATEFUL and EXCITED to be back in the studio for our 2020-2021 Season 15!

The practical realities of covid-19 have challenged and changed the way we all connect. At Lifesong, we understand and respect that each family has differing needs, concerns and expectations for resuming social activities. We want to offer as much opportunity and meet as many needs as possible during this time. The physical, mental and emotional health of everyone at Lifesong is of utmost importance to us. We encourage families to choose the options (in studio or virtual) that give you peace of mind and allow us to keep connecting with you and teaching your kids.

Lifesong is offering both in-studio classes and virtual zoom options for many of our DANCE classes. MUSIC lessons and ART class will continue virtually for the foreseeable future as part of our phased re-opening efforts to minimize the number of people in the studio. THEATRE opportunities include in-studio classes, virtual zoom options for Basic Tap 1 & Basic Jazz 1&2 PLUS creative ways to produce our season of shows.

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ OUR LIFESONG CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 PROTOCOL. It's important that EVERYONE understand, agree to, and abide by the protocols put in place for the safety and well-being of everyone at Lifesong.

Ballet Classes

BALLET is an important foundation for success in all styles of dance. We encourage all dancers to train in ballet! Our ballet classes are leveled according to a specific syllabus and progression through the levels varies on each student individually. Students are placed in classes based on experience and age. Our goal is to equip them with the proper training to advance through our classical ballet syllabus. Historically students advance based on their participation and absorption of the material along with how they implement corrections. A good work ethic, a positive attitude and focus are important for success and continued growth.
